Has anyone used one of these covers on an F18? Does it fit?

Hey Bob -

Unlikely to fit due to hull volume and beam locations. There is a Kinder cover for the C2 that, while pricey, is worth every penny. Drop me an e-mail if you're interested.

You can make one of the silver or blue tarps work with some effort and stitching. You can also contact your local Lamar billboard franchise - they have old billboards that are usually free. If you don't mind having a huge Corona ad draped over your boat, they make very good covers - can't beat the price or the sustainability quotient.

Harken make good hull covers that are trailerable (over 10K miles on my Tiger covers). I know they have models for the Tiger, Infusion and Wildcat. Reasonably priced and top notch. For yard storage you can cover the tramp with a large aluminized tarp from walmart and some bungees.

Chris.

I have some made by Chip at Whirlwind on my Tiger. 3 seasons and they are still good condition. I do about 15 to 20k a year and they last really nice.

I'm curious about trailering with a cover as I may be making a longish trip soon. Some I know put cling wrap around the hulls forward of the front beam. What do folks think is best practice for protecting the boat when towing?

Cling film is fine as long as you start at the back and work forward - as me how I know!

Goodall probably has a cover for it. They've got one for every other model they sell.

Or, get a flat bed trailer. I bought a 2004 20' Triton four place snowmobile trailer for $1500. Technically its "new", as it was still owned by the dealer and never registered, but they used it and it came with a warranty. By the time I get boxes on the front not much will be able to hit the boat. I also plan on adding racks forward of the front crossbar to double stack. Top boat will face backwards with the bows hanging over the bottom boat. Should be able to load/unload either boat seperatly.

Trailer weighs ~1300#'s

Wouldn't recommend the 4cyl pull rig........

I was going to upload a couple pics to my facebook page then hotlink them, but my computer has an awesome virus that no program can dig out, so some aspects of my internet use piss me off to no end. Just about whipped my notebook across the room.

Its not setup at all yet. Carrying the mast low should help with windage, hopefully that gives a bit better mileage.

No, that's my neighbor's boat. I had just gotten home from Omaha and I didn't feel like backing it in, and onto the side of the house, so I parked on the street for the night.

20'

(edit)- Twenty feet is the square part. With the angled front and the tounge, its probably ~26'. I don't know how long the F16 mast is, but its just about over the ball, and there's maybe 3' sticking out the back.
