My beloved windsurf harness (with internal lumbar support) is sadly reaching the point of no return.

Has anyone got feeback on this FUSION version?>

[Linked Image]

I have lumbar (L5-S1) issues (which has pretty much killed my abdomenal muscle tone) and need something for the bouy stuff (already have that great Worrell harness for distance stuff).

What I liked about my old Dakine was the lumber wrap (like a back belt) and the crotch straps weren't too intrusive. It was pretty easy to move around in, too (from hull to wire, and sitting on the tramp)

I usually end up trapping a bit high, and set the spreader bar slightly above waistline to take some of the pressure off my spine.

Your thoughts are appreciated...

No,

But I Did spend up to over 5-6 hours at s time in a borrowed harness a few weeks ago. I also satyed at a Holiday Inn Express last night. Ok, not really, it was the Hyatt.

It was during the 2010 GT300 www.gt300.com,
it was a full version of one of the magic marine harness'.

It was very comfy and gave me no problems. Not bad for a borrowed harness.

I have a fusion all though its the previous generation i think, i really like it it has decent back support that goes up about half way up my back.

As for the legs they are fine you can get a bigger size and tighten the waist and bar down.

Ive cought the back on the boom going under on our H16 but thats more due to the fact that the blocks touch at this point eek

Yes, I have the MM full harness (with the leg wraps) and it's fantastic for distance stuff. It does limit me a bit when continually ducking the boom in bouy situations, which is why I had that windsurfing harness which was a lot smaller.

One other question on that particular harness - what do the sizes (S M L XL) equate to in terms of waist circumference? I think I'm about a (US) 34 men's waist size...

Not sure on what the waist sizes are but im a 34ish currently and my large fits well. i usto be a 38 and it was quite snug on the legs. i would suggest trying one on the local kite surfing stores usually carry them i think.

one thing is that if you use there normal spreader bar it will not fit into the dog bone hook ups

I have a spreader bar I'd like to carry over to the new harness. I think I see similar shaped bars on their site, so let's hope they all work together...

pretty much like this one:

nothing so far. Using my long distance harness for the next event, so the decision is pushed back until possibly January.

I think I will have to visit a local windsurf shop (there are no catsailing shops around here) to give them a look...
