Hi All

This years winter series at Sugarloaf is just about done, with only 3 more days left cry - Doesnt sound much? Thats 6 weeks and six races cool

Next Sunday is the next sail, followed by the 8/8 and then the last races on 22/8, 2 races per day.

All welcome, we should have at least a couple of Mossies on the water, and there are plenty of Taipans and Sabres to do battle with. (look out for a particular pink hulled Sabre with a Stingray kite if it gets light) grin

I will miss the 8/8 races but will be there for the others.

Start line action from last week below.

Trevor

Hi Trev,

The new girl is nearly ready to go. If I can extricate myself from junior footy duties for a day, I'll plan to make the 22/8

Cheers

Ah yes, the all important start time:

1st start is 1:30pm, usually 5 x Windward Leeward legs followed by another start.

And another pic from last race grin

Hey Trev,

Could be a good photo for a caption contest.

What is the "x" on the shore just above the high water mark?

You seem to be heading right at it. Is it buried treasure or a cunning and ingenious navigational aid for local knowledge shocked

Cheers

That's not an 'X', it is nothing. Nothing to see here, nothing at all. Please ignore anything you may think you have seen...

Gates open at 10am and I will be there at about 10:30am. Plenty of time for rigging and talking about boats.

Sorry Pete, theyre getting worse shocked

I was going to hand Jake a shovel but I think you both need one after that last post grin

It is actually a mark of the course that the crew have to get off and run around when the water isnt high enough... wink

It was a great day - 2 races in good average winds + gusts kicking up plenty of whitecaps. cool

Matt starred in his monomaran (wanna buy an extra hull?)Thanks to the duty crew who got him on the water within 10 minutes. While Lotty and myself seemed to hold the lead Taipans at bay, and Nic successfully fended off an A Class, and some more Taipans.

The water is damn (Dam?) smirk cold and the wind chill made me glad I didnt take a swim. All best intentions to take some photos, but left the camera in the bag blush

Excellent finish to the Sugarloaf winter series - Back for the Summer in 2 weeks Saturday.
