if you call up any dealer, they can tell you the lengths.

Hi,

I've tried emailing many dealers, and no reply....thought someone here might be able to help.

Do you suppose the dealers might suspect that you are making your own rigging rather than buying it from them?

Hi,

Initially I had contacted a "Hobie Dealer" to purchase a set of rigging for my H17.

He told me to tell him the lengths of the rigging and he would "make" them for me.

Only thing is I can't measure my rigging as I have Sport rigging and want to go back to Uni Rig.

That's the story so far, I was trying to do the right thing in the first place.

I wasn't suggesting you were doing anything wrong. I was just being cynical about the fact that a lot of dealers are not as helpful as they used to be in days gone by.

Hello,

Call Hobie Cat directly to answer this question. There number: 760-758-9100. Ask for Greg Thomas or Matt Miller. Either of them will be happy to get you the info you seek!

Cheers!

Tim J.

Phone calls from Saudi Arabia to the US will certainly add to the cost of these wires...any chance of an email address?

The website is www.hobiecat.com. Click on Hobie Sailboats and then go to the sailing forum. They might even have a forum specifically for the Hobie 17. Anyway, you can ask your question on their forum, in which case it will probably be answered by Matt Miller or someone else from the factory, or you can click on Matt Miller's name in one of the existing posts and send him a message personally.

The NAHCA page for the H-17 line lengths might help.

If you still need this information, post another request. I can go out and measure my H-17 and post the information if necessary. Last year when I replaced my mine with new factory wires, they were slightly longer than the old ones. There was enough adjustment on the chain plates to make up for the difference.
