Jake, you'll have to get Karl to tell you the leaf story some time and then you'll see the humor in his post.

"Up your game", "buy it without permission", made me laugh both times Karl.

My father said the same thing to me when I asked him how to approach it.

Difference is, my Mom actually jumped for joy when he brought home "her" porsche. (That she's not allowed to drive)

Just tell her you, unlike many guys are choosing a boat for a mid life crisis and not a youger woman........ See how that goes whistle

Even better - buy the boat and then sail it with your younger woman ('crew').

Spent yesterday bogging the beams, and today going over the rigging. The design, quality and workmanship has far surpassed my expectations...

Here's some pics of USA 1

it wasn't the one at Racine.

Hey Mike

comment from the peanut gallery - but I think you mentioned that you were going to move the axle on the trailer forwards. Looks like you'll definitely need to do that! smile

The trailer is going back in the shop this weekend for more mods - axle forward, tilt rack back, lifting struts, mast posts, fenders, supports for the box, etc...

Some of the guys sailing that thing are terrified of it. grin
Last weekend a couple of them rigged their boats for a longdistance race,
then de-rigged them again when they saw it would be blowing 20-25kts (whimps!).
The one that did go took the linehonours though:

Some cool pic of the race:

Wow some great photos Tony!

What is it that they are so afraid of?

The power? The price of breaking it? :P

Here are a few comments by Macca on the F20. Poor video as it was early evening, but you can hear him OK. Macca F20 Comments

So how much quicker is it compared to the old Nacra 20? Above 8 knots of breeze they can't keep up with the moth upwind or down. Only asking as I hear one of these new trucks is going to come to Singapore.
