I'm researching buying a new club wave and was wondering whether I should get the jib. What do you think?

Thanks

The jib kit does not work on the Wave. It adds a sail, but it is pretty useless as you cannot put any luff tension on it.
Meanwhile, here is a previous post that explains it all:
Finally back home and happy with my DSL.
OK, I was about to go into a lengthly dissertation and realized it is all on the page linked below.
The Hobie jib set up does not work at all -- you cannot put any load on the forestay as it will simply bend the pole between the bows. So, be sure to take a look at what you can do.

Good luck,

I just go the jib kit for my Wave about a month ago. Definitely faster (I can't say how much, but quite noticable
in the 7-15 knot winds I usually sail in. I would agree that a better system to tension would be good (I plan on trying Rick's
method using two pieces of stay-cable across the bows and avoid connecting directly to the spreader bar.
I might also mention that the jib saved my buns the other day. I got caught out in gusting-to-28mph weather and dropped the main
and sailed home using the jib only. That was pretty quick downwind sailing even with the tiny jib let me tell you!

Anyone know where I can find a used jib?
