Yesterday at work, we had a seminar on accomodations for the blind in the workplace. I work for a state educational institution in Minnesota. So...now I'm curious, does anyone know of any blind catsailors out there? Are they skippers or crew?

I bet you could still sail if you were blind, as long as you had good crew!

Yes ,-there is an active network and evan championships for blind sailors .
They helm with a sighted person as crew .

Have not been involved directly at a regatta but have talked with several who have ,--very heartwarming -rewarding experiences always relayed for those involved ,--Know Lions Charitable organizations have been involved with it also .

Also if you ever realy want to sharpen your sailing skills -sail sightless ,--it develops all other sences -feel hearing orientation .Its amazing ,-give it a try ,
You,ll also develop a sence of how couragous these sailors are,--the difference being ,- you can pull the blindfold down if in trouble .
