Posts: 1,152 tampa, fl | I happened to have my spin halyard in the truck. Here is what I measured out (it's a brand new halyard that I made last weekend). Total length - 73'.... 25' tapered (stripped cover), 33' cover and core, 15' cover only (core removed).

Posts: 1,152 tampa, fl | I'm not really up on the names of all the lines out there, I am using a 5mm double braid with a spectra core. Cover stripped on one end of the line to achieve the taper and core stripped out of the other end for lighter more flexible line as it comes out of the suffer and up the kite when hoisted.
