Can't say I'm too pleased about it.

i got one too, but haven't really tested it yet, guess I should

oops. no, it is a koday play sport. what the difference is, dunno.
Also got a new jib kit for the 31. A 23 panel modified radial cut. I love sewing, but the thing pretty much burned me out. It is, however, a work of art if I do say so smile

Undecided,

Could also be a firmware problem. Upgrade or reinstall the firmware and set it up for the one button start.

I got a new wetsuit and polarized sunglasses.

Craig: I couldn't upgrade the firmware considering the shutter button wasn't working and pressing the shutter button is a necessary action to upgrade the firmware.

Got a Gopro HD which I have been using to shoot some nice kitesurfing videos while on holiday.
I'm sorry to hear yours doesnt work, normally Gopro has excellent service, what is the reason they wont replace it?
The button also doesnt work when outside the case?

They claimed that it was outside the warranty period. My dear mother had bought it for me and didn't have the invoice which is required if you RMA it. I guess yesterday they received it and saw that it was brand new, not a scratch on it, and they are going to replace the unit according to the email I got this morning.

No the button wouldn't work when the unit was outside the housing. Also the camera wouldn't switch modes unless I hit the front button like 4 times in a row to get off of video mode.

A Swiss made Elna from the 1960's that I had setup for heavy fabrics. I have had my fill of "Made in China".

Now that I learned a little about sewing machines, I am looking at machine my mother gave me for heavy work. It was built in Japan in the late 1940's, apparently in old military equipment factories. It's cast steel and must weigh a hundred pounds. I doesn't look very friendly. The needles look like miniature versions of triangular WW I French bayonets.

As a sailmaker said, "it takes a real man to sew boat gear. The sewing is easy but cutting your own hand free and then cursing for 30 mins without repeating yourself after you sew your hand to a sail, takes a real man". I saw that once, I can confirm the cursing part but, I had to cut his hand free. I sucks to sew your hand to a sail, with your shears just out of reach.

Back in my sailloft days we had an Adler maching. Could sew through 1/4" plywood. It was great for corner patches.

My first GoPro had some issues as well. It worked ok to start but developed issues within a week or 2. I was unable to get the unit to power up or off unless i removed the battery. And it's in there real tight. I solved this issue by losing the unit.

The new unit works perfectly.

Glad to hear they are going to replace it Tad.

Call me twisted but that last sentence made me laugh.
