Posts: 285 Hampton, Virginia | A Hobie Tiger was stolen from a yacht club in Senecca South Carolina. Someone took the gate down and towed away boat, trailer and cat trax. Please keep your eyes, ears open for it. More info on the Tiger Pages. Tiger Pages | | | Re: Stolen HobieTiger

Posts: 12,310 South Carolina | my lord! Somebody has it out for Rick. I guess they figured since they already had the sails, they might as well have the boat? I hope I see them somewhere - my eyes will certainly be peeled (I live near there).

Posts: 833 St. Louis, MO, | Please post hull number and sail number. Also post if there are any marks on the boat like dings or anything that would distinquish it from other tigers. Sail colors would help also. I will keep my eyes open.

Posts: 12,310 South Carolina | me too - but I would tend to feel pretty secure leaving it at a yacht club behind a coded gate. Why would they go for the tiger (twice)? Someone knew what they were after - that's probably the most valuable catamaran out there. However, there are TONS of monohulls and dingys there on trailers too. Weird.

Posts: 744 | Will keep our eyes open down here along the FL panhandle. What is the serial number off the back of the hulls? Sail numbers can be changed. Any pics of the numbers? Maybe this is a lesson for everyone: document and protect your property! Bob

Posts: 20 | I smell an inside job. Keep your freinds close, but your enemies even closer. I hope he finds the perp. I will post an email to the CRAW sailors here in Wisconsin. Lots of travelling sailors in the bunch. This person could find themselves ensnared in a very, very large net if the word gets out coast to coast. my lord! Somebody has it out for Rick. I guess they figured since they already had the sails, they might as well have the boat? I hope I see them somewhere - my eyes will certainly be peeled (I live near there).
Nacra 6.0NA to kill myself quickly and a Johnson 18 to do it a little slower.

Posts: 12,310 South Carolina | I doubt an inside job - if they were inside, they certainly would have known that the Tiger is a relatively new boat with a pretty tight nit group of sailors? Where in the world do they think they can sell (or sail) that thing and not get noticed? Mind boggling. If they had any clue as to what they are doing, they must be after it for parts - but then why would you get sails, and then come back for the boat?
