This is the second year for the race and I am pretty sure that this is the first time any F18 has sailed on Charlotte Harbor(no local boats). Lots of smiling faces!

You guys are all missing out by not being here! Great sailing today.
And before you get excited when you see the results that say ding beat us 3 of 4 races today, they are incorrect, we got him 3 of 4

Brian, you are spot on, last year there was 0 this year there was 9, I'm pleased about that. You guys are incredibly accommodating and I will happily attend again next year.

Great on-water action from the F18 fleet. Thanks to David and the whole fleet for giving us at CHR a chance. I will be mailing you the winter series burgee. See everyone next year. Huge F18 slideshow in the works, so check out www.charlotteharborregatta.com in the next day or two.

I can't say enough about how helpfull your beach staff was. All the help getting the boats into and out of the water (and up the biggest hill in Florida!) was greatly appreciated!

It was a public park down the street (about a mile) from the yacht club. Nice place with stuff to do just in case the racing is called off for some reason.

Yeah. Can't say enough about the Charlotte Harbor Regatta staff/team. Awesome on the beach, RC was good and the party/dinner was great too. Many thanks... will def be back next year schedules permitting.

Nice video from 2011CHR by Angel Bartolotta (drummer of alt-metal band "Dope") with quick edits, rocking soundtrack and good sense of the scene.

Check it out at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tkw1SvwlHqc

Wow cool. I used to jam out to Dope from time to time. They have some definitely-not-G-rated lyrics :P
