The Gopro is pretty tough, you do have to inspect the casing everytime you mount it though, the base has snapped of by quite a few people.
A friend of mine also found it doesn't float smile

There is no place for a lanyard on the go-pro(current model). it would be nice but i am sure they sell more without them. My first go pro made it exactly out 2x before i lost it (operator error).

Mine made it about 7 minutes...

Thats about $29 per minute and now actual viewing of any video...
