Thanks. The photos keep me sane. I often tell myself to build a boat, but there's no way I'd ever finish!

It looks great. Hope you enjoy the boat, you've certainly earned it.

As long as you dont rush it, and dont have anything more important to do, boatbuilding is a nice activity.

Dont sell your boat before the new one is finished though.

I don't mind it, although keeping the tension can get a bit boring.

Tony,

do you have much or any lead at your mast tip to achieve tip weight? If you do (and its possible to remove it) go for a sail without it and see if it makes much of a difference to the mast response. You may find the weight is providing a lot of inertia at the tip and effecting the mast's dynamic response. If there is a noticeable improvement put the weight at the hounds (plus a bit extra to get the correct "tip weight").

The only lead on my boat is the lump of lead steering it.

That must be a telephone pole of a carbon mast to measure in without lead. No wonder it isn't bending. Maybe try lowering the hounds.

I gotta say, I like Russell, but I'm really digging Russell's pull rig. That thing is sweet looking!

I'm boatless.

Karl my brother in law is an engineer for Holden (GM) and I seem to remember him say we're about to start sending them to the States.

Won't sell well here probably. The format has been tried a few times.

All wheel drive with a six speed and a Vette engine would be f-unfortunately awesome.

Didn't sell last time they tried but you never know.

There are about 40000 Cop cars on their way so a couple of these on the ship won't even be noticed.
