Posts: 5,525 | http://connect.garmin.com/player/76780153Light air: 5-10, mostly 5ish. Bright and sunny, a few cirrus. Low humidity. Probably the last Spring weekend. Summer from here on out, I'd guess. Lots of bigger boats out doing a race of some sorts.

Posts: 5,525 | http://connect.garmin.com/activity/78491313Saturday at GYC. It's a jumble and I'll try to clean it up. It would be nice if we could figure a way to superimpose other boats (if there are any). http://connect.garmin.com/activity/78491319Sunday. Equally jumbled. I'll work on it.

Posts: 5,525 | I had always assumed the boats would be fastest on a beam reach. Sometimes I sail "lazy" (just the main) and the I'm always surprised at how quick the boat is.
I take it you like the Speedpuck. What does it do for you?

Posts: 5,525 | The speed doesn't surprise me, hadn't thought about water temperature.
I'll bet the Navy has done testing but I've no idea where to start a search.

Posts: 6,049 Sebring, Florida. | I have heard that some of the Singapore F16s have hit peaks of 22 or so, but that is super flat and super warm water. I think warm v cold water has an impact on speed. Where are these "Singapore F16's" located, exactly? I'm in Tokyo right now, leaving for Singapore tonight at 7pm. I'll be laying over there for 27 hours tomorrow into the next day, then back to Tokyo. I'd love to find a sailing club down there if you know where they hang out. Thanks

Posts: 539 | Very very close to the airport actually. They are at Changi Sailing Club which is at Changi Village. Web address is: http://www.csc.org.sg/I am sure you will bump into Scott and Alice who can help you out (they are the cat dealers here). Otherwise it is a great spot in Singapore, nice and quiet and a good vista. I normally sail the moth from a different club, but if you need assistance in Singapore give me a PM and i can help you out. | | | Re: GPS tracks

Posts: 6,049 Sebring, Florida. | Thanks for the link! I'm at the "Swissotel Merchant Court" in town right now (I think it's downtown, about a 30 minute ride from the airpor?) I'll have to ask around about busses, etc. PM coming your way.
