Don't look for the stacks next time you sail into Palm Beach!

Boom!

Going to miss those old stacks but we still have the Tiera Condos which is the first thing you see when sailing back from the islands also good to see the condo it verifies your navigational skills. When we use to sail over to the islands in a J-24 by Loran before GPS the Tiera always brought a smile to our face.

I'm trying to remember if those were the ones that always used to deposit nice ash piles on all the boats at the city marina or not...

That time of year again. Sailing next Friday and Saturday and camping on Peanut Friday night. Probably do another run downtown at midnight Friday night!

I was out by the old shipping docks and it sure looks different on the water. Not only are the towers gone but so is the old Riviera Beach power plant that was on the bank of the intracostal waterway. I couldn’t quite figure out what was changed until I spoke with my neighbor who works at the new power plant by 20 mile bend. I wonder if the Manatees will still congregate now just south of Peanut Island without the warm water outlet from the plant?

given the amount of bird crap that I have to clean off my boat, would a nice layer of ash not be a good thing to soak that, and the spider crap, up?
