hi all ,

My name is Nicolas, and i'm very happy to have found this forum on HC in Hawaii.

For a business trip i will spend one week in your marvelous islands, during this week i will have 2 days off and i'de like very much to sail HC 16 or 18 (my fav boats) in honolulu ('cause i will stay @ the hilton).

Do you know some club or company that are making day renting of HC16 or HC18?

I've seen also that it is possible to make a boat ride on America II , is it a good idea?

Thank you very much for your answers.

Regards

Nicolas

Nicolas, Yes you can rent a Hobie 16 at the Hilton
(not sure of the charges) The AC boat is not worth going on unless you like going slow (They sail w/jib only) your best bet is to go for a ride on one of the beach cats in Waikiki they will take you out around Diamond Head (out in the wind line where it's really blowing
Hope this helps, Dan'o

OK all you imposters this is Dan'o yes the real Dan'o and there is only one guy that will rent a Hobie 16 to sail and he is on the windward side of Oahu. You will need a car to get to him. His name is Stu Schroader. His number is (808)728-4689. The Hilton does not rent Hobies! hey haven't for years. If you are looking for something that is shiny and new he ain't got it but he does have the only game in town.
I sail out of Kokokahi Sailing Club (google it) but we can't rent boats as it's not allowed at our club.
