Posts: 37 Idaho | Marsh Hawk, thanks for the link. The Windrider looks like a great idea. Foot steering, windshield, high clearance boom...lots of innovations. Have you tried one? What did you think of the Rave? 30 miles per hour!!! What a thrill that would be. I'd run out of lake in about 6 minutes!

Posts: 37 Idaho | Yeah, I could see that happening. At my stage of the game, both sailing-wise and age-wise, I'm not sure I want to go that fast anyway! Going 7-10 knots in my Venture 15 feels like 60!

I'm surprised (gien your last name!) you haven't looked at the Reynolds cats...I've seen the 21 footer up close and it does have sleeping space in each hull. They are quite nicely priced as well.
Ideally, the Farrier/Corsair trimarans would be great for you...speed, creature comforts, trailerable, safe. But, the costs are very high (24 ft goes for more than $25k used).
