first off there is no clubs or cat sailers within 800 miles from from my location I have sailed a Hobie 18 and am not great but can manage to keep from hitting any solid objects. I have upgraded to a inter 20 and have never used a spinnaker are there and vids out there that go step by step on rigging and using the the spinnaker or just sailing the inter 20 in general

Do a search of this site, there are many threads with great info on running the spin. Other than that, go sailing, get wet, get up, and do it again.
To over simplify, at first, dont go out in winds over say 10=12, run downwind around 45*, watch the telltales, get them running just like you would the main (which you will run at your upwind setting, travler centered-sheet pretty tight, this works as a backstay). Crew will let the spin sheet out till the tales run back, then sheet in as the spin powers up. AT THE SAME TIME, THE HELM BEGINS TO TURN DOWN AS THE APPARENT WIND MOVES FOREWARD!!! YOU SHOULD HAVE DONE THAT 2 1/2 SECONDS AGO!!! Sorry for yelling but it is very important that these things are not only done simultaniously, but that the helm anticipates the spin powering up LIKE A FRICKING ROCKET!!! At that point, if your still upright, the helm makes "S" turns to and the crew sheets in and out to keep the sail running. Turn down to depower, up to increase power, Sheet in to keep the luff from collapsing, (you want it to just barely luff), out to prevent stall.

The way that I like to descibe it is "head up to get a little and then head down to bleed it off". Continue this pattern until you gain some confidence to fly the hull. As you head up you will feel the power build, bleed the power off by turning down and then find the groove!

I've been on roughly 8 I20/N20 over the years and the spinnakers are rigged 8 different ways.

What type of snuffer do you have? Mid-pole or end-pole?
Spinnaker - two patches or three?

DO you want to adjust the head/foot of the spin separately or just yank one line and have it go up/down?

Just some of the questions you need to think about before you set up the spin arrangement...
