Posts: 1,152 tampa, fl | Quite a rain storm engulfed the back half of the fleet. No serious wind squalls or lightning (that I heard of), but it looked like a very unfriendly place to be sailing. I also heard that two boats dismasted. I did not get the stories on those either.

Posts: 3,906 Clermont, FL, USA | I suspect some of the DNF's were folks that preregistered but didn't show up, they are ghost boats.
There were a few break downs.
Conditions were almost perfect. We had a small uneventful storm move through the course, nothing to get excited about. It did leave some without wind longer than others and those that chose poorly paid dearly.
