Had a European customer ask if we had sails for a Hobie Teddy, and I emailed back that I had not heard of such a boat. He sent the following link: http://www.hobie-cat.net/site_gb/?produits,hobie_teddy
Sure looks like a Wave with a jib. Must be a Hobie Europe thing.

Jib, dolphin striker, main with reef points, jib furler, adjustable toe straps, trapeze, aluminium tiller extension.

Guess the clubs wrote the specifications for a trainer and Hobie configured one. Interesting that they considered the dolphin striker necessary.

It does look like a cool boat. I'm just not sure I would want to tell anyone I was going out on my Teddy!

I'm pretty sure this is what they meant. Do you sell these Rick?

Interesting sail shape. I bet it'll really lift the boat to weather.

No, that's a mast raising device.

Surprised Matt hasn't jumped in yet, but that is a totally different boat than the Wave (look at the bow, it angles up; look at the spacing of the crossbars, location of the mast fore-aft, etc.).

Europe has all sorts of interesting models:

Other than the Dragoon (for which I've seen major regattas advertised), I wonder how well they sell?

Yeah, they have a LOT of models. They try the shot gun approach.

Does the front crossbeam have a rib or support inside? If no Dolohin striker, maybe there is something else?

My wife likes the pink Hobie Teddy. Are they for sale somewhere?
