I was hoping someone could tell me how similar the dimensions of the Inter 18 are to the Nacra F18. I believe that there will be a nice Top Gun cover made for the Nacra F18 in the very near future. While not specifically made for the Inter 18, will a cover made from a Nacra F18 template fit an Inter 18??

Thanks folks. My present cover was made for a Nacra 5.5 and it just doesn't fit. I am getting tired of cleaning the bird do-do off of the hulls.

As disappointing as this news is, I appreciate your response.

That leaves me with one point and one question;

1. Does anyone living in Europe know of a supplier of covers for the Inter 18? I have searched the web to no avail. I believe Wouter told me that covers were available for the Inter 18 in Europe. I have friends who are from the Netherlands-I am sure they would pick one up for me if I asked nicely. I am after a good Top Gun cover with high quality zippers.

2. Salty Dog is going to start making covers for the Nacra F18. They need a Nacra F18 near their store in Michigan from which to make a template. I think you will get a very good deal on this cover if you are willing to let them 'measure' your F18. Give them a holler if you want a nice cover.

As you can probably figure out, I was hoping Salty Dog could make the F18 cover and it would fit my Inter 18.

Bummer

Bob,

I have seen only a very few covers here on the Inter 18 but I know they are there. I assume from your post that you have contacted the European importer and that they couldn't sell you the cover ?

When are your friends leaving the Netherlands ?

Hello Wouter;

I contacted Performance Catamaran USA via e-mail two times and got no reply. Hence, I assumed that either they don't care to help or they do not know of a supplier. I must apologize but who is the European Distributor for the Inter line?

My friend, Tineke, now lives here in Texas. Her family still lives in her homeland of the Netherlands. Hence, I would assume they would ship one to me (or Tineke could pick one up the next time she goes home). As you can tell, I am getting a bit desperate in my search for a nice cover. I can have one made but without a pattern, it gets difficult---unless the person knows how to make a cover.

Heck, maybe I should just buy an Inter20---buy what is popular and then you don't worry about the availability of supplies and accessories for your boat!

Thanks

Bob

Bob,

I've phoned the EU importer for NAcra and asked him about the covers. I asked about a full cover that protects the hulsl and trampoline.

They are asking 380 Euro's (ex taxes which you as an US citizen don't have to pay) and they can send it too the US (they have checked if that was alright) I don't know how much shipping will cost but it can be folded up and shouldn't weight to much too.

They don't have any in stock right now but can order one which will be ready in 2 weeks time.

Interested. ?
