One current posting is discussing the making a hybrid of H-14 and H-16 parts. That brings up the question of: Are there mutant Hobies out there that could only be called "Freaks of Nature"? Could there be a two-masted Hobie? Or a Hobie with 3 hulls? Or a Hobie with Cadallic tailfins?

Feel free to tell of 'rumors' of the Abominal Hobie, but picture will be considered proof of your claim.

How about taking a Hobie 16, shortening the mast, adding human powered paddlewheels, a large redwood framework, a canopy and a port-a-john? Then you steer this craft down the Ohio and Mississippi Rivers with two men onboard, one 55 and one 80 years old. They are doing this to raise money for ALS and this is happening as we speak. They are near South East Ohio today. You can check their progress on this site.

OK, here's something unusual. A Hobie 14 Catamaran with skeg added

Remind me why a skeg has been put on a hobie. Thats why the hulls have been made that way so they dont need one.
