Does anyone have a list of who is going to compete at Islamorada?
Also, is it true that Struble, Gluck & Melvin won't be attending? and if so has anyone got an opinion as to the likely front runners other than Ben Moon?

If you go to the online registration on the USACA site you can see the list of pre registrations. You don't have to register to view it.

Doubt it, haven't heard of any planned. Sometimes Bob H. does a daily update if there is a thread on SA.Hopefully he will.

Randy has other obligations. Looking like light air from the current forecast for much of the week right now. Clean is in France and can't cover the event.

The Class is asking for any media reporters who would like to cover the event to contact the PRO and they will be able to report from the committee boat. Contact Bob Hodges for more info if you are interested.

The class is the OA and they are not going to pay for media beyond making some resources like RC boat slots to make the the racing accessible to media.

The class is currently all volunteers and at $25 per year dues we don't have the budget to hire pro media.

If I am not too tired each day, I (or perhaps another volunteer) will be trying to post a 2-3 paragraph summary that we'll release to SA, Scuttlebutt, Cat Sailing News, and also post on the multihull forums here and at SA. Warren Green is going to try to get results to SA, Cat Sailing News, and Scuttlebutt.

Jay Glaser will be there offering de-briefs each day and taking photos. We'll get a pic or two out for sure.

At the Islander, the weather is hot and humid and at this time no wind, the water is like glass.

I am sitting in a tikihut on the bayside 2 miles away, I have not seem more than 3 knots all day. Here is the link to the closet weather buoy out on Molasses Reef. http://www.ndbc.noaa.gov/station_page.php?station=mlrf1

The forecast for the rest of the week doesn't excite you much, just 4-6 knots most days except for Saturday and Sunday. Looks like the light air experts will be favored for the majority of the races.

Uggg...I guess if it's going to be like that, you might as well be in the Keys...but still - the suck factor is high.

The lake sailors will have an advantage in light air, the guys from Hopatcong and Lanier will have more experience in light air. Most of the racing at Lanier this year was in light air.

Jeff is a light air master downwind.

Mark Skeels and Bob Webbon went sailing by the light of the moon last night only wind we saw all day. The moon off the sails provided some good photo shots
