I am about to buy a Hobie 16, however I have no place to store the hulls + trampoline during those lovely Boston winters. Is this going to damage the boat significantly?

Sometimes you have to get creative. Do you have any wall space available? There is a clever idea for storing a Hobie 16 for the winter here.

Remove as much as you can from the boat and store it inside, including rigging, lines, sails (!), etc. Make sure your hulls are dry as water can freeze and cause damage. Cover the boat (including comptip) with a poly tarp. UV is really a bigger threat than cold.
