I have noticed alot of trailera are lifted between the frame and cross bar to get the boat higher in the air. Are these custom peices or can I buy them pre fabbed?

I haven't seen that yet, but what is the advantage?

Put some blocks between the frame and the cross bar and buy longer bolts.

Why?

Unless there is a ground clearence problem, lower has less windage and a lower GoG.

Clearence for a trailer storage box is the usual reason .... since the "dolphin striker" sticks down.

Instead of a single carpeted 2"x8" (laying horizontal) for a bunk ... I stacked two ... through bolted w/ galvinized carriage bolts and then carpeted ... (use pressure treated wood and they will not rot, lasting many years ....don't ask how I know to use pressure treated wood ...)

2x10's or 2x12's work well also ... as they provide more surface area ==> more support.

I want to put a larger wheel tire set and bigger fenders on my trailer. I need more room between the boat and fenders.

I think Todd Ricardi has these on his trailer.
