Posts: 12,310 South Carolina | For the record, it was Mike Krantz and I sailing together. My crappy hand scribble probably initiated the misspelling of his name.

Unregistered | Full story, results and pictures You don't say anything about why there were so many DNSs in the F16s. Would also have been nice to see some mention of JCs performance on Sunday. And this - The class of boat used for the event was the F16 catamaran. ... These extremely fast catamarans reach speeds over 30 mph in ideal conditions. And the conditions were ideal over this past weekend. Hands up who did 30mph? | | | Re: Tradewinds Story, Results and Pictures Up

Posts: 5,525 | As stated in other posts, the dns's were due to injury, breakage, and lack of experience.
There was enough wind that less experienced crews had no business on the water. And it was cold enough to be uncomfortable, so that surely contributed.
There were no speed trials, but boats were still zipping along pretty good.

I was just pointing out that there's nothing about it in Rick's report... which I have seen linked to directly from outside catsailor. Your comments in the other thread suggest that there is more to report that might be of interest to those readers. | | | Re: Tradewinds Story, Results and Pictures Up

All kidding aside, looks like it was a great event. It would be nice to see the Youth and Olympic team results listed separately as part of the main article.
Mike Yes, and this would be a very good place for it. 2012 ISAF Youth World Qualifier Reg...ip & US Sailing Development Team qua <-- The US Sailing site Looks like the staff liaison needs to do some liasing.
