I'll try for next year, this year is impossible.

I remember The Pier regatta years back, lots of fun, lots things for non-sailors.

I'm guessing the cats would still stage on the lawn north of the Pier and use that beach as access. I don't really see any place at SPYC.

Just an FYI to all racing here, the rc at this event loves to have upwind finishes. The class coordinator for the phrf multihull fleet has requested the rc to give us downwind finishes. Hopefully this happens because upwind finishes suck.

Bump.

As stated, I can't make it this year but we really should try to get a fleet over there next year.

If we want the class to grow, this should be a priority, imo.

Wish I could go, but I've been ignoring work completely this year. It's starting to build up, and I gotta do it at some point....

Stupid jobs.

I'm boatless.

Does anyone know where the F18s launched from?

I'm moving this up my must do list, hoping we can have a fleet next year.

Pete - we launched from Spa Beach park on the north side of the Pier. It was a fabulous location with a big grassy area for rigging and plenty of beach to expand this event next year. I would highly recommend everyone put this event on their calendars for next year. The sailing conditions yesterday were well worth sitting around on Saturday.

Also - keep an ear out for a new regatta being planned for this same location for the first weekend of December! This one will be a can't miss event!

Good deal! Thanks Beth. Let us know as things develop.

My thinking is NOODS is one way to grow our version of sailing.

Any really, really, early entries for next years NOODS (besides me)?

I'll try to make it next year. I liked the NOOD the one time I did it way back when.
