Andreas,

I just happened to be perusing this when I saw your post. I actually have a small business arranging trips for people coming to Sardinia. I haven't spent much time on Cats but I did just get back from crewing on some of the entries in the Rolex Maxi Yacht Cup in Porto Cervo and it was fantastic! There is nothing like these big boats or the money they cost. In fact, this week is the Hobie 16 races here in Cagliari where I live. I didn't get over to it today but will tomorrow and the next. October brings the Mumms 30 which should also be interesting.

I would be happy to help make any arrangements with chartering or other aspects of your stay (car rental, restaurants, etc). Sailing is wonderful in the northern waters but prices are quite a bit higher for everything else and I would reccommend you at least consider the south as it is less expensive, warmer, and beautiful.

If you could let me know some specifics I could look into things for you.

Sincerely,

Jim Perry
