Is this the same boat? I've had this photo for years.
That's a heck of a climb up to release the upper side stay. At 1:03 in the video it looks like there's a ladder back by the rear beam. laugh

Clearly the same. Not exactly beautiful.. the colors and "art" I mean..
Looks like they took the mast float out in that one.

Yes, the mast head float was scrapped, Harvey did try a self inflating one too.
I don't think that the adjustable shrouds were on it when I sailed it a couple of years ago either.

Wouldn't the shroud need to be relaxed at least 8' or so?! Or was there something to make it work in the hull setup?

I would rather have a system that tensions the oposite shroud also which you can re-adjust when the boat is upright. A lot of shock when the rig whips back.
