So, since my skipper seems keen to head north in July (something about a regatta in Darwin? wink ) I figure it's time we looked for somewhere to race after our club season ends at the end of April. Anyone know which clubs around Melbourne sail cats through the winter? Alternately, anyone feel like ganging up on a club that's got a winter season, but that wouldn't normally have Mozzies?

I'm moving from NQLD to Mornington Peninsular in July with my Taipan for 6 months. I'm keen to join in a winter series. It seems Mt Martha doesn't do a winter series, is Sugarloaf the closest?

Mordialloc seems like the place for my winter series after viewing the 2011 participants. Matt thanks for the info. A Mozzies still the nicest boat I've sailed, shame their not spead around Australia more.

There are 3 races on at rye yacht club on Sunday for the end of the season. May be 3 mozzies there but would be great with heaps more. Plenty of grass to set up on so get a last blast in for the season. Matt I will keep Cameron the Jonah away from your boat this time

Hmmm... Now I'm wondering what the odds of Sugarloaf and Mordialloc having alternating weeks is. Because while that's a lot of moving a mozzie around, it might almost be worth it...

Just a reminder, of course, that Mordi's winter season starts in August, not July.

Only trouble with Sugarloaf is that it makes it awfully tricky to get my salt water fix, Trevor. Oh well. I should see you there, provided I'm not thrashed by working in Bendigo through the night on Saturday...
