Posts: 217 Palm Harbor, FL | Yes, I know the ocean is about an hour away from Winter Park, but is there any good sailing on Lake Apopka or any of the other local lakes?
If my wife gets the job at Full Sail, I will be moving.

Posts: 217 Palm Harbor, FL | Is there mast up storage at Lake Eustis, or somewhere near the beach? I'm spoiled. :-)

Posts: 139 Hernando, Florida | Daniel, You can also sail Lake Harris. There is a grassy park on the south side of the boat ramp lagoon that is city owned. The Parks and Rec Director Eric Dickerson, has granted permission to launch the boats there. Straight access to the bigger lake. I wouldn't leave it after dark as the park closes at 10:00 and don't think they would go for that.
