Bille, great video of the old guy (Sweede? Norway? Denmark?) doing it.

I had wanted to learn to kite surf, until one day at a cat regatta, there was a pretty good on shore breeze blowing and some kite guys were rigging up. I said to my 10yr. old son, "That looks like fun, I think I'd like to try that." And went back to rigging my boat.

In about 2 minutes, I hear a scream, look up, there's a guy on a kite passing overhead, from the beach to the parking lot! He bounced on a car hood, then launched up again, and came down on the pavement the second time!

I looked at my son and said, "Nah...maybe not."

YEP -- Sailing is Definitely safer than Kite-boarding.
BUT :
Both sports can Kill Ya, if you Don't
Pay- Attention !!!!

The Thread was mostly about : Doesn't matter What sport
Ya do
as long as it keeps you fit & mentally aware.

I see people in their late 30's, and they look like their
ready to Give-up !

Best quote that I have read:-

"The older I get , the better I was!"

However I do agree with you. Like they say "Use it or lose it!"

Afterall "Age it not the number of years but a state of mind."

I'm rather fond of The Dylan Thomas's poem which starts:-

Do not go gentle into that good night,
Old age should burn and rage at close of day;
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.

I know that the voices in my head aint real,
but they have some pretty good ideas.
There is no such thing as a quick fix and I've never had free lunch!
