I'm NEVER going to do Tybee or any other adrenalin inducing epic adventure. But, a summer tour (2013) is officially on the calendar.

I'm looking for camping, launching spots on Federal land, conducive to laid back, uni sailing. A trip up the eastern seaboard is inviting but I'm more interested in a tour of western lakes. Maybe along the Texas gulf coast for a bit, reaching an apex in Glacier Park and then a meander home.

I'm thinking maybe six weeks. All suggestions, local knowledge appreciated.

Google the Apostle Islands. Some of the best sailing I've ever had. Cold water though.

I'm boatless.

Damn. 1,200 miles from Glacier Park to the Apostel Islands. That's three days as I drive, what's in between?
