We currently have 115 competitors registered and paid from Eight countries to compete in the World Championship. Races will begin with a practice day on Sunday, October 21st, and the competition will begin at 11:OO AM Monday October 22nd. There are 5 days of racing scheduled, with Saturday, October 27th held in reserve for weather delays. Billy Richnow of the Great Texas Race fame, will be PRO. We have a steller RC team setup and a lot of boat support. The Race Committee still has a couple openings for local participation in mark set or safety Boat/Waverunner operations or recorder/mark set duties. Volunteers or interested parties may contact Warren Green at wgreen53@cfl.rr.com or Dennis Green at the Islander Water Sports area, for information. We also seek spectator boat operations from local tour large deck boat operators on a pay as you go basis. These vessels would dock at the Islander resort on a schedule basis to pick up or discharge spectator passengers. Only licensed operators should make contact.
