KR has been trying to get with EW regarding that issue. I will let him give out the details. For now, I recommend anyone that might be interested try hooking up with a local guy or contact Matt McDonald (Falcon), Jill Nickerson (AHPC), or Kirk Newkirk (NACRA).

OK...

Now that the F18 Worlds is behind us, it's time to focus on the Alter Cup.

We're less than 2 months to the event, and have late fees scheduled to kick in after Oct 1; yet only 2 boats have registered???

The Multihull Championship Committee and PBYC have been working very hard to come up with a great event, now it's time to show your appreciation and register!

Don't allow this regatta to wither on the vine with the world watching multihulls enjoy arguably our best day in the sun ever.

The link above will take you to the main page; from there you can access registration as well as the NOR, which includes contact info for charter boats through Eric Witte.

The NOR was revised and posted today... late fees removed, but still limited time to register. Do it today!

I'd like to go, but I'm swamped with work. I shouldn't even be doing F16 nationals

I'm boatless.

After your comment about employees' IQ dropping 35 points when they get a paycheck, did they all quit and leave you the work? smile

Let's see who the possible starters are that could be in the lineup for the 2012 US Multihull Championship for the Hobie Alter Trophy -

starting locally: Rice, Whitehurst, Bello, Smyth, Reiss, Whitehead, Pitt, Amador, McDonald - then moving south: Daniel, Casey, and many new young pilots I do not know out of Sarasota.

I am sure hoping JW and the Glasers will join us from the west coast and spark a couple other teams into attending the two weekend F 16 Sailing Festival. As far as Mark's F 16 Fleet on Chesapeake Bay, which he claimed would not be attending, all I can say is that you will be missing the warm water, white sugary sand, and challenging racing which you could always remember - if you had been here.

The new 'open' format will require competitors to sail hard all four days on Pensacola Bay - which can become filled with sheep and very angry.

I'm sorry to say that the pile of work that accumulated as my attention was focused on F18 Worlds has made it impossible for me to attend F16s or the Alter Cup this year. I'm sure I'm missing out.

I'll be making the Waves in December, though, to try and make up an East Coast trip.

After watching Lionel Messi play, I realize I need to sail harder.

I wasn't trying to portray it negatively. Its a good thing, hopefully I'll be done before Tradewinds and I can spend a month or better Florida, and possibly sail from Charlotte Harbor to the Bahamas on a big cat. We'll see, my plans are tentative at best sometimes.

Just having the option is huge perk! Keep that in mind when you're pulling 80's and your employees are driving you nuts. Even when you're working for the man you can still put in long days and work for a douche then be forced to train your replacement in India. So no more bitchin on Facebook.

I bitched on Facebook because one of the tards stuck his finger in a router and I had to haul him to the urgent care. My stress level go through the roof when that **** happens.
