Thanks. Hopefully by the time they get going there will be some way to associate the kattack numbering with the teams. At the moment it looks like their numbering system is different from the competitor list at regattanetwork.

That's the way it's been in the past also, makes it almost unusable without a cheat sheet.

What would you guys suggest?

They probably use the bow numbers. Should they try something else like the sailors' initials? Is there a better idea?

I'm actually serious about this question. You raise a great point, in this age we need to be as spectator-friendly as possible. It's great that this tool is available and being used, how can we use it better?

Don't just point out problems, propose workable solutions...

I'd say 1st)team name (which is usually the boat name. This would be good for sponsors also.), 2nd) skippers last name, 3rd choice would be sail numbers. The big boat races I do, that use Kattack, put boat names on them so it can be done.
Maybe they will do that, I hope so, because the last time I watched, somebody was kind enough to post a cross reference sheet with the Hull numbers to names and it was still a p.i.a. to constantly look through the sheets to see who the "new" boat was that made a move.

It doesn't really matter all that much what identifiers they use as long as they're unique and there is a way to associate them with specific teams. You have the freedom in kattack to annotate however you want - at least in the post-race scenario we've used here. I presume it's the same when setting up the live feed. Skipper's name works fine.

Agreed - last year (NA's) I had a hand written list that correlated names and numbers that I was interested in, but it was awful to try and figure out what was actually happening. Skipper's names would be nice to have on the list. Being able high-lite boats in the live player would be nice too. If I could go down the entry form and put a checkmark on boats I wanted to keep special track of and have them appear more bold or less transparent would be awesome. I remember having the ability to show certain teams but you loose visibility on the any boat that's not checked...which really limits the story you get from the live data. I really want to see the whole fleet while being able to make out where my buddies are or highlight the "contenders" and watch their tactics at the start in the entire fleet.

While I'm dreaming, the ability to save different highlighted teams might be nice or perhaps one "view" that automatically highlights the provisional top 15 teams as per the previous day's overall standings.

No sail #s for Robbie, Karl the 1st, and Sarah N.(she may be 1610 but that's listed for Jdub) either.

I feel like the "Irish commentator" for the Olympics must have felt. They're starting, no they're finishing, no they're sailing around in circles.
Be nice to know who's in what fleets.

All I've figured out is it looked like Bundock won one and Ned2 or Oscar Zeekant won one. I quit watching it was just too confusing. I'll just check the results. Looks like pretty light air. I'd guess 6-8knots.

Facebook had something about Sarah Newberry winning one, but may have been yesterday or bad info, who knows.

Sail Flow predicted light to medium for all days. Not sure how accurate it is there.
