We are in.

29 boats

3 races, 6-10 kts

Leah may be leading but is under protest for P&S with Tommy Whitehurst.

He may be the leader pending the outcome

Looking at the scores, it is unclear how he would take the lead by winning the protest. Any more info available?

Maybe this goes without saying, but I wish I were there...

Wind Saturday around 10 most of the day with few shift, choppy seas and mostly sunny in the low 80s.., horrid conditions. grin
Arbitration of the protest penalized Leah White 20%.'
New players got into the game. The fleet got in 5 more races, where Kenny Pierce finally got it going with two bullets and second place, but broke a rudder in the fourth race and missed the fifth, pretty much taking him out of the picture.
Tom Whitehurst managed to pull off two perfect port tack starts, getting him two more wins, moving him past Dave White into second place by 6 points
Leah White to a bullet and three 2nds and a throwout 6th to maintain the lead by 4.5 points

Hey Rick,

Thanks for putting on the regatta! Thanks for the updates. I would like to see the spreadsheet when all is done.

Last day was light air, with flatter seas, winds 2.5 to 5. Dave White won the first race, putting him only 3 points behind second place, Tom Whitehurst.
Leah White snuck into second place, while Whitehurst took a fourth, allowing Leah White a little more breathing room. Tom Whitehurst continued running at the head of the pack, with Leah White shadowing him, making sure he did not gain any large points on her. In the final race she stayed right behind Whitehurst, then passed him on the final downwind leg to win first overall
Leah is the second person and first woman to win the Wave Nationals three times. Second place went to Tom Whitehurst, followed by Dave White, Jim Glanden and John Sherry.
Masters Champ was Jim Glanden, followed by John Sherry and Jack Woehrle.
In the Womens Division Leah White was followed by Sharon Woodruff.
Silver Fleet Trophy for the most improved sailor went to Dan Birkholz from the frozen tundra of Minnesota.
