Don't forget this pleasant jaunt down the Intracoastal!

Weather looks ideal, and I personally invite you 20 drivers to blow the dust off your hull and take on those "teensy" boats.

Rodericks is a no go, something about just starting a new job and needing to impress his bosses. I tried to tell him that setting the bar high from the get go is a mistake and that performing little miracles periodically is a much better way to go but he would have nothing to do with it. Engineers always think they have it right.

Dave,

You know anything about the guy that bought Ferber's in Sarasota?

I don't, it's been a while since I've made it over there.

I don't think the boat was ever "sold". Larry has been out of the country for a year or so, and his boat is being cared for and used by the guy who crewed for him in the last Tybee 500. He is a youth sailing coach at SYS. That keeps him pretty busy on the weekends and he does not get out to many regattas.

Brian hasn't worked at SYS in a while... He's in the Toronto area coaching now.

WOW! I just saw him in October and he was still coaching at SYS and working at Ullman Sails.

Karl,

He was gone but has been back, but I was under the impression it was sold. Just trying to beat the bushes to get a better showing against the 18s here.

Certainly... doesn't he read Dilbert? I mean, look at Wally. He's been avoiding work for over a decade and still makes it look easy...

No, not skert. Just... totally not prepared. Sailing just isn't a part of my life at the moment - something I told myself I'd fix in the new year. Stellar start I've made right?

I was like, "wait, what?" 7 minutes to do 20 miles?...then I realized there was a different day in front of the start and finish time stamp...youch!

As always this was one of the most fun events of the year! Thanks to Scott, Dior, Warren, and all the other volunteers that made it happen! The stretch of river that we get to sail in is absolutely beautiful! You'll never sail anywhere and see so much wildlife! Dolphins, turtles, birds, fish, chicks on jetski's, etc.

The party at Hiram's did not disapoint this year, while Sandy moved the event from the traditional Halloween party, our rowdy group of sailors stepped it up to make up the slack. Coaster fights, girls "motorboating" girls (highlight), One crew, who shall remain unnamed, spent a fair bit of the night with her pants around her knees, Matt's massive wipeout on the dance floor, Tiger-Dave's "dancing", etc.

Can't wait for next year!!!!!!

Karl,
Saw you were leading the pack with Ding close on your butt. What time did you guys make the beach in the float fest?
