This weekend (November 22 & 23) is the Florida Multihull Championships Regatta (Carlisle Classic Regatta for monohull sailors) to be held at the Clearwater Community Sailing Center on Clearwater Beach, Florida. There is expected to be a larger turn out of boats and the F16HP Class is expected to be present with 3 Taipan 4.9's racing F16HP Sloop. The racing will be in the Gulf of Mexico and the weather forecast for the weekend is looking good.

See you on the race course.

Catch the video of this weekends action at maximus movies. Most of the shots are of the I20 fleet but there are a few shots of Seth Stern and me on our Taipans. There is a good shot of me under spinnaker at the end of Saturday's video. Look for the boat with the light blue spinnaker.

Jennifer,

Indeed some great footage ; those guys (stank , karr, etc) are really doing some interesting stuff with helmet camera's and footage of sailing.

Do you see a possibility of getting the Taipan footage from them. As you know we work on a no-low budget but maybe we can work something out.

I'm looking for this footage as I have also contacted the Australian counterpart (Alan Crawfort) For his excellent footage of the Taipan design. He indicated he will help us.

I know there is video footage of the new Blade F16 design which is expected to come out with the first publication soon. I've seen the pages and alot of other stuff (not all public) but it looks very good indeed. Anyway the Blade people have indicated that the video (and the future) ones will be made available for our class CD.

I still have to push John Pierce of Stealth a little bit I now he has the capability of videoing his boat from the water as he advertises this on his webpage with respect to his sailing/coach classes.

I think you get the point. I can't put all these MB's on the webpage but I can make a CD-rom out it (with equal representation of all F16 boats) and copy-post this CD for next to nothing to anybody who is interested. Will help both the class as help us 16-ers through the winter.

I will contact Bimare as well to see if they want to play ball on this.

What do you think, would Brian let us have that footage ?

Wouter
