hi al, great video on u tube, even if the AC72 does 100 mph, if it cannot point, it is a loser everytime, and you can see it, plus when the wind drops to non foil speed, the boat speed is perfect for fishing, no kidding, imagine the drag on those foils!i used to take kids sailing, they loved putting thier feet and arms in the water underway,..water would splash up..just like these foils!i recall hydrofoil designs were powerboat technology, plus the horizontal axis pitching is quite extreme,..the leading edge of the mainsail pitches just like the hull, imagine trying to trim that!..why the jib?

What are you talking about can't point?

They point about just as well as any other catamaran.

Can anything else beat it?

And feet sure aren't foil shaped.

Hey, don't lump him into that crowd. He humbly noted that he was the last one standing (or something like that)...

Not sure why this is unbelieveable. I've done it on a M6.0 flying the hull to weather. I was only making about 70 degrees. All was fine until I got greedy and tried to sheet a little harder. That's when the big jib overpowered the rudders and I went for a swim. It's amazing what you can encounter if you do this a lot and long enough.

Wow! Must have had that H20 post giving you some sleepless nights! It's his story, let him tell it. The guy has probably posted here once because he's excited about going out for a wild ride on his boat, don't throw him under the bus. Every fish I've ever caught was big to me!
