I just got a offer from a headhunter for a job in Kansas.

If I take the job, what kind of catamaran would you recommend for sailing in a cattle stock tank?

We used to use a ~ 12ft inflatble Cat, with a rig like a Sunfish's in a pool I worked at in Texas.

The pool was 25meters, x 25yards

Is the "Barbie" Hobie class legal?

For Hobie events, as long as she has 100% factory original equipment, you should be good. For non hobie events, I've heard that some aftermarket upgrades are encouraged. wink

There's a pretty active Hobie fleet (297) in the KC / Lawrence area.

And there one in Wichita that's still around, too.

And lastly, Hobie Cat did make a hot-pink Hobie 14, made especially for Cyndi Wood, the 1974 Playboy Playmate of the Year. It might be in rough shape 40 years later. The boat, that is.

Do you remember when Chevy sponsored racing in mini AC boats in swimming pools. Lots of fun. Lots of folks didn't dump those huge mainsails quickly enough around the windward mark, running up on the side of the pool.

I'd guess they both might be.

Cyndi's held up pretty well - for being 64 years old.

She was the fictional Playmate in "Apocalypse Now":

I guess as long as you're fictional, you're ageless. Maybe not so fictional.

Dude, get one, it comes with a very hot crew, and she knows how to keep her mouth shut!

You've heard about Divorced Barbi, right?

She comes with all of Ken's stuff, so maybe you can hook up with her and sail Ken's X-boat, with Ken's X-Wife!

Just don't start driving Alex's truck...

wasn't there a commercial where GI Joe drives up in a sports car, and Barbie jumps in with him (to Ken's dismay)?

Hilarious

As was the Barbie/Ken dialogue in one of those Toy Story movies.

Don't know where in Kansas you will be, but Lake Cheney is big and has hosted several nationals. I think there is a good cat fleet there and it is known for being windy.
