There are some dim bulbs in the world and even more that can't take a joke or have a laugh at themselves.

This is why we celebrate the Fourth of July:

Who does he think he is?

I am you King!

Well, I didn't vote for you!

(see the violence inherent in the system?)

I'm getting more Samuel Adams for Friday!

Oh, we know full well whom to hate. Some just think that they have a team that differs from another.

I'm boatless.

This is Sad though :

Americas education system is So-BAD
that 1/2 the ignorant/stupid kids in the USA,
don't have a "Clue", as to just What were celebrating
on the 4'th of July ; the other 1/2 ,(illegal aliens)
can't speak english, and could really care less anyway
as long as they get there Greasy corn-Tacos, to feed there
Fat babies!! They can't get over exactly Why we americans
are celebrating Cinco de Mayo on the 4'th of the Wrong month?

So exactly WHAT did we Win , once again ? Something about
winning a bunch of corrupt politicians, that feel better about
lining there pockets with gold, at the expense of the people
who actually Work to make a living ; instead of :
"legally stealing there wealth".

America ------ Land of the ignorant, owned by China ; and getting worst every day ...

Anything Else ? ---------------------(so sad).

Geez Bille,
Lay off the ignorant/stupid kids until you improve your English a bit. So-BAD doesn't need a hyphen. It should be "their" not "there", many capitalization errors... oh, never mind; my corn taco is ready in the microwave.

Have a great Independence Day!

Somebody say Taco?

Yes , your absolutely correct , my spelling is atrocious: Yet Somehow i ended
up serving in the Army ASA as an NCO ; GT scores were 2-points lower than needed
to be an officer. Don't know what happened to my Moms genetics ; she spoke (7) languages.
Funny thing though , she couldn't open the lock on a door ; i could build one that worked
well enough for even the Simplest of minds to understand it's functionality. Perhaps that is
why i'm about to change the definition for : "State of the Art in below the knee prosthetic" ?

You sound like an English teacher or perhaps a Banker ?
I'm perplexed here ; you seem to have the cognitive skills to spot my Bad spelling,
but can't understand just how bad America is being legally undermined , by greedy thieves ?

Out of curiosity ; what did You do in the Military ?

Bille

I actually Did this :
I asked a 13 year old child, who
we were fighting when we won the war which celebrates
the 4'th of July ; she got it WRONG !!!

Today i'd like each of you to do the same as above , to
at least 10 children over the age of 10 ; and we will compare
results later ?

FWIW, I just queried my 10yr old son and he got it right. Guess my local public schools are doing OK. He also pointed out that Independence Day marks the signing of the Declaration of Independence and that the conclusion of the war came later. He mentioned one of those schoolhouse rock songs that helped him remember.

I asked my 8yo and she said we won a war. When I asked who we fought in the war she could not answer but when I asked who did we want to be "independent" from, both my 8yo and 10yo next to her answered correctly in unison.

I have no business throwing rocks from my glass house when it comes to grammar. It just gets me when I hear and see people who are representing exactly how I feel but do it with poor grammar, bad spelling, and sometimes bad manners. I'm not talking about you Bille; there are much worse out there. Your post just caught me at a bad moment.

I am certainly not an English teacher or banker. I was a crypto-linguist in the USAF (enlisted). I'm retired now doing other work for the government. I did ALOT of work with the Army, some with the Coast Guard. It was a very "joint" job. I once spent 6 weeks on a merchant marine vessel. It was fun in its own special way but I couldn't imagine doing the 6 to 9 months most of the Navy guys were doing. I deployed to Iraq on a WIT team as part of the surge. I got shot at a hell of a lot more than I was able/allowed to shoot back. Seeing what is going on there now makes my heart ache to the point words could never describe.

I see what is going on in America. I wouldn't necessarily call them "greedy thieves", it's more like "lazy, self-entitled, irresponsible cretins". All we can do is get out there and vote and get others to vote. We don't do that by going on rampages of half-truths that only make the current system seem more legitimate. That's why I sit and shake my head as I read some of the garbage written by people who feel the same as I do but are just so extreme about it. Extremism, whether right or left, will never change any hearts or minds.

I honestly hope we can all get out and do some sailing soon so that we have better things to discuss rather than politics. I can't help but look like I bit a lemon anytime someone want to talk politics.

Anyway Bille, Happy Forth of July, from one vet to another.

Anyway Bille, Happy Forth of July, from one vet to another.

And THANK YOU for Your service Redtwin !!!

I have NO problem admitting to,or recognizing a person who has
a superior intelligence , or is more knowledgeable than i,in
a particular field.

Learning to type a message, rather than write it out Long-hand
was probably one of the Best things that ever happened to me.
If you could see my penmanship ; you would be appalled !!
I still remember the Nun, taking the pencil out of my Left
hand, (when i was in first grade) and placing it in my Right
hand.
Then she said : "Why can't you be like every one else in
this classroom" ?
As a result, my penmanship is unrecognizable, as a way to
communicate with other humans.

NO two people are alike ; we all have good qualities and
bad ones, and recognizing exactly What your good at, will
help you accomplish your mission both faster and with better results.
An example for such :

I was offered a position in the highest funded prosthetic
design lab in the world ; because of my expertise with
composites and resins.I turned the position down because
of this little known flaw with humans , known as functional fixedness.

Functional fixedness , is a bias in problem solving ; the
moment another way to solve the problem has bin presented
to the subject.

SO ---- i already Knew, that the people i was about to work
for, were mostly Smarter than me.
However
"I" was the one that the VA had paid an excess
of $120,000 for the 6 different fake legs that they gave
me ; and I was also the person who went out and broke ALL
of them!!
(3) while kite-boarding
(1) while Hang-gliding
(1) while Paragliding
(1) snow skiing

The VA spent GOOD money on what they thought was suppose to be
a quality piece of equipment ; yet None of the designers
appeared to have a clue as to how they should be made. So
why would i want to learn how to build something, from someone
who is making it, in a way that i already know is Flawed ?
Everything they made Me,was so Wrong, (on so many levels) !!

Some of the prosthetic makers i had talked to ; couldn't
tell me exactly WHY there is more pain when walking down-hill
than when walking Up a hill.

Hoping the message got through to a few here ?

Of the (10) people asked last night ; i had a 30% failure
rate. Ages ranged from 8 to 50'ish , and
only (1) of the (4) Latinos i had asked, got it wrong

I still have both of my legs and I would much rather walk/run up a hill than down a hill. I have relatively health knees and have never had any injuries below the waist, yet running downhill is not comfortable at all. I'm sure part of it has to do with my crappy form and the rest is probably my age.

The lady i did a 3 hour hike in RedRock this morning, said
she did that same hike with an 83 year-old Guy last week , and
he beat her to the 1,000 foot altitude mark !!
Hope i'm in that good of shape , at that age ?

Walking down a hill, seams to drive the bottom of my shin
bone into the hard carbon shell, that wraps around my leg.
It hurts about two beers worth right now.
