I did a search for threads on chartering, in this forum already, didn't turn up anything. I can take it off-line if I get responses, and post summary for info.

Specs - me & wife, plus our 2 boys 6 & 9. Early June.
5 night charter. Experience - lots of lake sailing on many different cats, and keelboats inclduing wheels. One V.I. bareboat ~10 yrs ago with another couple. We're not scuba people. I want to bareboat, not pay someone to sail me around.

We're looking at cats, not monohulls. Possibly Tobago35 or Laggon38, Athena38.
Any info on whether to go through brokers (jolly mon sailing), or straight from rental places (e.g. TMM?)
What about convincing them I'm OK to bareboat? I don't have a capatain's license (but how many of their customers do?)

We are 35 miles of the BVI island chain,....in fact, we can see the islands on most days!
As for your concerns,....just go and have a great time,......try the Moorings also for Cats,...June is a 'off' month and there should be some deals too.
By all means,...deal direct!
