RULES
The Regatta shall be governed by The Racing Rules of Sailing 2013-2016, the prescriptions of US
SAILING, and the rules of the ISAF Small Catamaran Handicap Rating System.
ORGANIZING AUTHORITY
Spray Beach Yacht Club, Long Beach Township, NJ.
CLASS
Any multi-hull catamaran boat having a published Small Catamaran Handicap Rating System (at
http://schrs.com/ratings.php ) that is published at the date of this regatta.
ELIGIBILITY AND ENTRY
The event is a bring-your-own-boat regatta open to all participants and any catamaran boat with the
class specifications. Eligibility is limited to the first 20 boats with paid registration. The regatta shall be held
concurrently with the Hobie Div. 11 Season Points Regatta held at Spray Beach Yacht Club. Any
competitor or crew under 18 will be required to have parental/guardian permission to participate.
Each participating boat shall be insured with valid third-party liability insurance with a minimum
cover of $100,000 per event or the equivalent thereof. Proof of liability insurance must be provided
at the time of registration (online or in person). Proof of insurance can be obtained from your
insurer with a separate statement of binding coverage. You must provide a copy at the skippers
meeting on June 20, 2015.
ENTRY AND FEES
Entry shall be made by completing the entry form available at US Sailing Regatta
Network at
http://www.regattanetwork.com/event/9988 and paying the entry fee
of $65 for a double handed boat, and $45 for a single handed boat. Registration shall
be limited to the first 20 boats with paid registration. The skipper of each boat shall be
charged a $5.00 surcharge if not a US Sailing individual or family member.
Registering after June 14
, 2015 noon EST will incur a $5.00 late fee.
SAILING INSTRUCTIONS: The sailing Instructions shall be available at registration and on
regatta networks.
MEASUREMENT: All boats may be inspected throughout the event for any class rule compliance
prescribed by the ISAF Small Catamaran Handicap Rating System.
SCORING & RACE RESULTS: The Low-Point Scoring System, Appendix A of the racing rules,
shall apply. Low point scoring shall use corrected race times for each completed race calculated as
specified in ยง E1 of the rules of the ISAF Small Catamaran Handicap Rating System. Race Results will
be posted online at
