It has taken over a year. We had a search engine that would analyze the site once in a while, but it was very unreliable.
Then I was told that Hyperseek was the answer and that it would spider the site.., but alas! It never did it right, either.
And none of these were inexpensive, I might add.

But, finally, we have Google that checks every word on this site. And it can be selected to search the internet as well.

For example:
You want to look up P-Cat. Just go to our Welcome Page and right at the top is a blank. Type in "P-Cat", check catsailor.com and click on Search. Voila! It is all right there.

So far, I only have the Search set up on the Welcome Page, but will add it to the other more popular pages as well. Don't really want it in the template.

So, give it a try. Try to find some far out subject and let me know how it worked.

Opened up a whole panorama of new (to me) info.

I only recently joined, but the engine has returned VERY SPOTTY (incomplete) results. I'll PM you some examples next time I do a search.

Are you sure you are talking about the Google search engine accessed from our home page, rather than the forum Search function?
