I wanted to make sure everyone knows about the upcoming A-Class North Americans May 18-22 in Panama City. From Christine Reiss, the incredible organizer of the event:

Full Disclosure: The 2015 A-Cat North American Championship is being planned by two "Mamas" who have spent the last five years traipsing the country and the world in support of two young cat sailors. We are planning the regatta we wished we'd been to. Seriously, bring your friends and family with you to this one and score big points or other serious forms of gratitude. Trust us -- we know what we are talking about (Mamas always do).

St. Andrews Bay Yacht Club is a full service family-friendly club with a fabulous restaurant, cozy lounge/bar, a swimming pool, and a beautiful multi-tiered deck under the mossy oaks overlooking bay (sunsets are to die for). Our club members love hosting sailors and will make you and yours feel right at home and thoroughly entertained (did we mention live music? karaoke? and a slew of entertainment activities available ala carte to the sailors' supporters, from high tea to paddleboard yoga, just to name a few?)

Panama City -- not to be confused with its well known neighbor, Panama City Beach -- is a beautiful laid-back small southern town wrapped around a gorgeous deep water bay (you'll see water just about everywhere you go in town). Come and relax with us and explore art galleries, cooking shops, wine bars, award winning restaurants, one-of-a-kind shops from quaint to funky to chic, and some of the friendliest folks you've encountered anywhere. We believe we have scheduled a nice mix of regatta activities, balanced by enough unscheduled time to allow you to explore all Panama City has to offer. You will want your guests to join you in all the regatta activities, so please reserve a guest social pass below.

I believe we can see 50 boats plus at this event: http://www.acatnorthamericans.com. Please register if you'd like to come! Even if you don't have an A-Class but want to check things out, please plan to stop by.

Along with the great sailing, the organizers have developed an awesome media plan with the help of F18 sailor Laura Muma, Nicholas Bowers, and Walter Cooper.

The class is sponsoring a coaching clinic the weekend before on Saturday afternoon and Sunday with Randy Smyth. Come race or come stop by. For those that register and pay by April 17, you will get a free Zhik polo branded with the event through Mike Krantz and Jake Kohl.

Bailey

Hey Bailes.

I'll try to swing down from Bham to say hi. Shouldn't be too too wrapped up that time of year.
