As a former N6.0 owner,
Some others in our fleet in TX would put a much stiffer/rod like bottom batten in the bottom pocket, which worked kinda
lie that.

I didn't do it on my 6.0, but I did convert my 5.0 to boom. Easier to add rotation control . More control over the main. I liked it.
