I keep thinking of interesting applications:
Surfing
Strap the sensor to a bird.
Strap the sensor to your dog.
Throw the sensor in the Colorado River.
NBA game?
Olympic Speed skating

My buddy who is a quadcopter aficionado says that this thing has a couple of real drawbacks tho.

1) No removable battery
2) Two hour recharge time
3) No collision/obstacle avoidance. So don't have it follow you into a bat cave!

Now thats pretty cool!

Wonder how fast it recharges?

Seems like for our purposes, it would be to be able to call it from the beach and have it go back there.

From the manual:

4. Usage

What wind speeds does Lily operate in?

We have tested Lily in winds above 20 mph (at the beach), but we advise people not to operate their Lily Camera in winds above 15 mph.

RAIDER-15 (homebuilt)

hey boy, what did you do over there, alone far out at sea?..
"huh....., that's the only place where I'm happy, sir.

Oh I don't know about that......
my Walkera Tali H500 (main workhorse)......

isn't water proof,
the only throw & go it performs is its case being put in and out of the car,
it wouldn't follow shyte !!!,
I need both hands to "drive it"

&

and it cost easily twice as much as "Lily"
mad

about the only major disadvantage I can see is it relies on the "tracking device" whereas the Tali H500 can be put where I want it to go

I'd have one in a heart beat...... do they want anyone to test it out in harsh Australian conditions ..... & I mean REALLY test it wink my Tali H500 will be doing ~5000 kilometres in a few months time through the guts of Australia's outback following a car rally !!!

grin
