This 2016 Olympic Quad has been an amazing adventure.

Since we teamed up 12 months ago, Matthew and I have worked our hardest every day to become better sailors, athletes, and people. I am so proud of our efforts.

We are deeply disappointed to share that we will not be the team representing the United States in the Nacra 17 in Rio this summer. We would like to congratulate Bora Gulari and Louisa Chafee on their selection to the 2016 U.S. Olympic Team, and we wish them the best of luck as they move toward the Games. Please head over to Gulari Chafee Racing to keep tabs on the U.S. Nacra 17’s progress toward Rio this August.

Our time as a campaigning team has been an amazing experience. Here are just a few of the highlights:

* We qualified the United States for a spot to compete at the 2016 Summer Olympic Games.
* We sailed into Gold fleet at every regatta we attended.
* We won a National Championship by margin against the best performance multihull sailors in the United States.
* We learned how to identify what a team needs, and planned and organized the best ways to accomplish those things.
* We became our strongest, healthiest, and most competitive selves.
* We were selected to the U.S. Sailing Team two years running!
* We made incredible friends with USSTS teammates, U.S. Nacra sailors, and some of the best international competitors in the world.
* We worked with our dream coaches - Will Howden, Jay Glaser, Mitch Booth, Mike Ingham, Robbie Daniel and more.
* We became great friends and even better teammates.

I am moved by the support that we have received from you: our friends, family, and sponsors. You fought hard for us, and showed your support at every turn. We love you, and thank you endlessly. Gramps, US Sailing Team Sperry, Fast Twitch, Hot Yoga House Miami, Facelift Designs, Cushman School, The International SeaKeepers Society, B&C Technologies, Harken, McLube Marine, Zhik, Moore and Company, Sailing Services, Inc. - we could not have asked for better partners.

This is just the beginning of some of the best sailing of our lives. The impact you have had these last few years has given us all the tools we need for future success.

We hope that you'll continue to follow our progress as athletes as we use these skills, and this experience, to make a growing impact in our sport. Stay tuned for more sailing adventures from both of us!

See you next quad…

Sarah
