Has anyone found a good way to stack a Hobie 18 with wings and a wave? After skippering a friends wave on 4th of July my 8 y.o. son was totally hooked. "Only 1 rope Dad!" So now I just need to figure out how to get it to the lake. I already have a double stack trailer, I just don't want to take the wings off so I'm hoping someone has a cool trick. Thoughts?

You might have to raise the cradles on the top rack, so that the beams of the wave are tall enough to clear the wings

I'm pretty tall (6'9"), but those wings are up there when folded. I could probably lift my corner up that high, but I doubt most other people could. smile

Put the 18 on top of the wave?

I'm boatless.

dude, it's a wave... just tie a rope to it and drag it behind the trailer. Probably won't even scratch the thing.

Or stand it up sideways, 1 hull under the 18 and 1 over? smile

When I triple stack I get around the height problem by lifting the front of the trailer as far as possible then bracing it in that position then it's easy for two people to put the top boat on
